About
I’m the founding Machine Learning Engineer at Olira, an outpatient monitoring platform for patients with chronic conditions leveraging machine learning and digital sensors to improve patient outcomes. Previously I was a research scientist at Brooklyn Health and a research associate at the Onnela Lab at Harvard University. I have a Master’s in Health Data Science from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Bristol.
My research lies in the intersection of Digital Phenotyping and AI/ML methods. Utilizing digital sensors to capture patient data and using machine learning to extract insights from that data. With the advent of mobile devices and wearables, we’re getting vast amounts of data that can provide health insights and extra context into the patient’s health where traditional methods are not able to capture, outside of the clinical setting. While text, audio and video are more well developed modalities in AI, digital sensors are still underutilized. So my focus is on developing methods to extract insights from digital sensors more natively and combining those with clinical data and other modalities (text, audio, video etc.) to improve patient outcomes.
